About Cabot

Cabot Shipping Supplies Ltd. was founded by the late Arnold S. Harrington in 1974. Arnold's vision was to create the largest and most complete one stop shipping room supplies, packaging and material handling company in Atlantic Canada.

From our beginnings in a small space on Market Street in Downtown Halifax, Cabot soon outgrew this location and moved our growing business to a new facility on Robie Street in the city's north end. The Robie Street property provided a new 2500 square foot warehouse as well as office and showroom space. From late 1974 until 1986 Cabot operated from our one location on Robie Street, but the changing face of business in the Halifax metropolitan area causes us to open a branch office in the rapidly growing Burnside Industrial Park. We ran the two locations from 1986 until 1998 when the two branches merged in a 10,000 square foot property at 75 Akerley Blvd., Burnside Industrial Park, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This location allows for a bright spacious showroom and a modern and efficient warehouse, as well as office space.

Cabot has now grown to seventeen employees with sales representatives covering all of Atlantic Canada.
